Aya Yoga will host a 90-minute myofascial release workshop this Sunday, Dec. 7 at 3:30 p.m., offering participants guided instruction in self massage techniques designed to reduce pain, improve mobility and support overall well being, according to the studio.
The workshop, titled “Myofascial Release: Head to Toe,” introduces self myofascial release, a practice that uses tools to target fascia, or connective tissues in the body. Aya Yoga said the method can help soften areas of stress and tension, increase range of motion, improve circulation and encourage a calmer physical and mental state.
Instructor Meagan Lass will lead the session, guiding attendees through the entire body and demonstrating targeted techniques using massage balls and common yoga props.
The studio said participants will explore common areas of tension, learn strategies to address discomfort and “leave with tools to tend to your individual needs head to toe any time.”
According to Aya Yoga, the workshop is geared toward anyone who wants to feel more connected to their body and understand how to apply myofascial release in daily life.
Cost is $40. Participants will receive $10 off the $50 Well Round kit on the day of the event.
The studio said refunds or future credits are available with at least 12 hours advance notice and an email request to info@ayayogaoasis.com.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the event will not receive a refund or credit.
