A man was stabbed Saturday night, Feb. 7 at the Burien Transit Center, and the suspect fled on foot, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The King County 911 center received a call at about 10:18 p.m. reporting a possible stabbing at the transit center in Burien (map below), the Sheriff’s Office said. Metro Police deputies arrived and found a man who had been stabbed.

Deputies and medics treated the victim at the scene before he was transported to Valley Medical Center with non life threatening injuries.

Initial reports indicate an unknown man followed the victim off a Metro bus after it pulled into the transit center.

Shortly after exiting the bus, the suspect stabbed the victim and ran from the area.

Deputies attempted to track the suspect with a K9 unit but were unable to apprehend him.

The case is being investigated by the King County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit and remains an active investigation.
