A community blood drive is scheduled for Thursday, April 9 at Burien City Hall, offering residents an opportunity to donate blood locally.

The event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the City Hall meeting room at 400 SW 152nd Street (map below), with a break for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Appointments are required for donors and can be scheduled online through Bloodworks Northwest or by scanning this QR code:

Same day appointments may be available at most locations, according to event information.

Organizers said donors should bring a photo ID and are encouraged to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating.

For safety reasons, visitors under age 16 are not permitted at donation sites.
