Burien residents now have a tasty excuse to eat their way across the city, as Discover Burien has kicked off its second annual Taco Crawl, offering participants a chance to sample tacos from 20 local restaurants.
This event starts Friday, April 17, and will run through Monday, May 4.
“Purchase your official Taco Crawl Passport and explore participating taco locations throughout town,” organizers said. “At each stop, enjoy one delicious taco and cast your vote for your favorite bite. The more locations you visit, the more tacos you taste—and the more votes you get to cast!”
Winners will be announced on Cinco de Mayo, May 5.
Packet pickup started this week at the Burien Farmers Market and is continuing at the Discover Burien office, located at 611 SW 152nd Street, (map below) where tickets and materials are available during regular weekday hours, except Thursdays when staff are at the market.
Each Taco Crawl ticket includes one taco at each participating location, allowing attendees to sample offerings from a wide range of Burien eateries. Participants can rate tacos as they go or submit their votes at the end of the event using a provided QR code, with the highest rated taco earning top honors.
Organizers said participants have a two week window to visit as many of the 20 locations as they choose, offering flexibility for residents and visitors exploring Burien’s dining scene.
The Taco Crawl packet includes a list of participating businesses and a system for tracking and rating each stop along the way.
