The City of Burien is inviting the community to attend its annual Pride flag raising ceremony at Burien City Hall on Thursday, June 4.

The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. and marks the sixth consecutive year the city has raised the Pride flag in recognition of LGBTQIA+ Pride Month, according to the city.

Community members attending the event will be offered free coffee and treats during the celebration.

The Burien City Council is also scheduled to present a proclamation honoring LGBTQIA+ Pride Month during its June 1 meeting.

The event will help kick off Pride Month observances taking place across the city in June.
