Bloodworks Northwest will host a Blood Drive on Monday, July 27 at Normandy Park City Hall, and donors are still needed, according to event organizers.
The drive will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers at Normandy Park City Hall (map below). The drive will be closed for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Bloodworks is warning that supplies are now dangerously low, threatening their ability to meet daily patient needs and to maintain the emergency reserves required to respond to large-scale incidents during one of the busiest periods of the year for emergency rooms.
Appointments are encouraged for the best donation experience, but walk-ins and same-day appointments are welcome, organizers said. Photo identification is required.
Residents can schedule an appointment at bloodworksnw.org/giveblood or through Bloodworks Northwest’s donor scheduling link at donate.bloodworksnw.org. The flyer also includes a QR code for booking.
Bloodworks Northwest says donating blood takes less than an hour. For safety, visitors under 16 are not allowed at donation sites. Donors are also encouraged to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating.
The flyer notes that donors who use promo code DRIVE-JUL25 when scheduling an appointment at a July blood drive will receive 25 bonus points in Bloodworks’ Donor Rewards Club.
