A power outage caused by a pole fire affected 3,481 Seattle City Light customers in Burien on Friday afternoon, Aug. 7.

The outage began at 1:36 p.m. Friday, City Light reported, and as of 4:15 p.m., 2,269 customers were still without electricity.

An additional five separate outages also occurred, and it is unknown if they’re related.

The main outage area covers parts of Burien’s Inglesea, Mount View and Beverly Park neighborhoods, stretching roughly from 14th Ave SW on the west to 2nd Ave SW on the east, with the northern edge near SW 115th Street and the southern edge near SW 132nd Street.

No estimated restoration time was available, according to the utility.
