The Orchestra of Flight invites instrumental musicians in the community to participate in an informal, just-for-fun reading session on Saturday, Aug. 15, featuring a variety of classical and popular selections from their music library.

“This gathering is an opportunity to sight-read music, meet fellow musicians, and enjoy making music together in a welcoming environment,” organizers said.

There is no cost to attend, and the deadline to apply is Thursday, Aug.. 13.

“We ask that attendees play at high school level or above,” organizers said. “Percussionists and violinists are particularly welcome.”

Everyone is invited to stay for snacks and conversation after the reading session.
