A man with two felony warrants was arrested Tuesday night, Sept. 1 in Burien after a deputy checked a known problem area after business hours, according to the Burien Police Department.
The deputy saw two males in a parking lot and conducted an investigation after something caught his attention, police said.
One of the males had two felony warrants, including warrants for identity theft and theft of a motor vehicle, according to police. The warrants carried a combined bail amount of $300,000.
During a search, deputies found 22.9 grams of methamphetamine and 2.51 grams of fentanyl, police said.
The man was booked into jail.
“Proactive police work is an important part of keeping our community safe,” the department said. “Even when deputies are not responding to calls, they are keeping themselves busy.”
