Branching Out ABA offers social skills clubs that harness the power of play

Branching Out ABA is offering two after-school programs focused on social and emotional learning and executive functioning skills for children in south King County, according to information provided by the organization.

The programs address the needs of elementary and middle school kids by leveraging high interest activities to initiate connection and social interaction with supports that foster friendships centered around common interests.

Their dedicated team focuses on fostering emotional regulation and confidence through natural play and practice.

If you or a loved one are the parent of a neourodivergent child, you know that affordable programs like this are often hard to find. You owe it to yourself to explore what Branching Out ABA is offering.

Here are the two programs, both of which start on Thursday, Jan. 22:

Social and Emotional Learning Pokemon Club that will meet on Thursdays from 4:15 p.m. to 5:05 p.m. at the White Center Salvation Army for six weeks starting Jan. 22, 2026. The club is designed to help children build social skills through play and shared interests in Pokemon.

Art Club plus Executive Functioning Skills, will also meet on Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 6:20 p.m. starting Jan. 22 at the White Center Salvation Army. The cost is $275, and the program is open to children ages 7-12.

Branching Out ABA programs use evidence based social skills playgroups where neurodivergent learners build friendships through play, practice and connection. 

The organization is led by board certified behavior analyst Madyline Ekins, An experienced professional as well as an award winning author, Madyline is a local resident serving families in West Seattle and nearby communities. She believes in empowering neurodivergent learners through their special interests and natural love of play.
