The City of Burien announced that Bloodworks Northwest will host a community blood drive at Burien City Hall on Monday, Nov. 10, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a lunch closure from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

The drive will take place in the City Hall meeting room at 400 SW 152nd Street (map below).

Appointments are required to ensure a smooth donation experience, though same-day appointments are available at most locations. Participants must bring photo identification, and visitors under age 16 are not permitted at the donation site.

Donors are encouraged to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating. Appointments can be booked through the Bloodworks Northwest website or by scanning the QR code on the city’s event announcement.

Bloodworks Northwest is also offering a special promotion through Dec. 31. Those who donate blood between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31 will be entered for a chance to win a “Musical Getaway to Rome” in 2026. The prize includes roundtrip Delta flights for two from Seattle or Portland to Rome, a stay at the five-star Hassler Roma hotel, and concert tickets.
