A woman was arrested in downtown Burien on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 after a patrol officer observed her using drugs and discovered narcotics and outstanding warrants, according to the Burien Police Department.

Police said the arrest occurred around 10 a.m. while a Burien deputy was patrolling the downtown area and noticed a woman engaged in drug use.

The woman was detained and identified.

According to police, the substance the woman was smoking tested positive for fentanyl. During a search, deputies also found additional narcotics on her, including cocaine and methamphetamine.

Police said the woman had an outstanding warrant for DUI and theft and was also wanted by authorities in California.

The woman was transported to jail, where she was booked, police said.

  1. It’s obvious that all the outreach and enabling didn’t get her to stop breaking laws or help with her addiction. Now she will given an opportunity to seek help, and stop breaking the law, California needs to bring her back there where’s she’s probably from anyways.
