A call for vandalism escalated into a felony arrest after Burien deputies said a man fought with them – for the second time in a week – while trespassing outside a local business Thursday morning, Oct. 16, 2025.

Deputies responded around 7 a.m. to a vandalism report and found a broken window along with a man using the business’s electrical cord to charge his phone, according to the Burien Police Department.

As we previously reported, last Friday, Oct. 10, a man arrested on suspicion of DUI also fought with police.

When deputies attempted to detain Thursday’s suspect, he began fighting with them and said he had a weapon, police said. Deputies reported seeing a black handgun in his pouch, but later determined it was an airsoft gun designed to look real.

The man kicked, punched and resisted arrest before being taken into custody and transported to jail, police said.

He was not injured during the arrest, and deputies reported no use of force beyond handcuffing.

The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, faces charges stemming from trespassing and resisting arrest.

  1. Another fine example of the old revolving door of modern justice, he obviously has no intentions of playing well with society and should be removed for his, and our sake.
