Early Monday morning, Mar. 30, 2020, at about 5 a.m., the Burien Police Department – a King County Sheriff’s Office contract city – got a call that the El Super Pollo (formerly Flapjack’s) restaurant (located at 3806 1st Ave S.) had been broken into.

Police say that a witness watched three males and one female leave the closed restaurant, each with an armful of items. The suspects left in a vehicle and the witness followed them to a nearby business. Deputies responded and discovered the vehicle was full of stolen items from the restaurant.

After briefly searching the area, Deputy Sandu located a female matching the description of one of the suspects. As he detained the female, Deputy Sandu noticed a male hiding behind a truck nearby.

Deputy Sandu gave commands to the male, who ran. Deputy Sare arrived with his K9 partner “Chuck” and began to track the male.

The track led to a secured construction site, where the male was located hiding under a contractor’s trailer. He was detained without incident.

Almost simultaneously, Deputy Seeley advised that a male had returned to the suspect’s vehicle. This male was also detained.

The final suspect was located by Deputy Bugosh, hiding behind a business.

The witness was able to positively identify the suspects. All 4 were booked into SCORE for commercial burglary.
