The Burien/White Center Rotary Club will kick off its annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ fundraiser at the Burien Farmers Market this Thursday, Sept. 11, 2025.

The Rotary will host a booth from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. near the Discover Burien table at the entrance of the market at SW 152nd Street and 5th Ave SW.

“This will be our kick off for our annual Shop with a Cop fundraiser,” Penny West of the Burien/White Center Rotary told The B-Town Blog. “This special event culminates at the end of the year, when children in our community receive a gift card to Fred Meyer and get the unforgettable experience of shopping alongside a local police officer. Together, we’re helping create joy, connection, and holiday memories that last a lifetime.”

Community members are invited to stop by the tent to learn more about the program and make donations.

Rotary’s ‘Shop with a Cop’ program is a year-end tradition that pairs local youth with law enforcement for a holiday shopping trip, aiming to provide both practical support and memorable experiences.
