Discover Burien will host its annual Mimosa Walk on Saturday, Nov. 29, inviting residents and visitors to sip seasonal drinks while shopping local in downtown Burien.
The event runs from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and begins at Discover Burien’s office at 611 SW 152nd Street (map below), where attendees will check in and receive maps and event details.
Tickets are $35 and include one specialty mimosa sample at each participating establishment – buy yours here.
Shoppers will find custom mimosa creations as they browse for holiday gifts and enjoy a festive atmosphere. For every $10 spent locally during the event, participants can present receipts at Discover Burien to receive a raffle entry for a chance to win a gift basket.
The Mimosa Walk coincides with Shop Local Burien, part of the nationwide campaign to encourage support for small and local businesses.
Participants must be 21 or older. Organizers emphasize responsible drinking and encourage attendees to plan for alternative transportation if they choose to drink.
Discover Burien noted that no cash refunds will be issued for tickets.
