Burien’s Hi-Liners Musical Theatre, a longtime fixture in the local arts community, is offering a full slate of performance opportunities for young performers this summer, including audition prep workshops, theater camps, and a mainstage production of “Mean Girls” at Highline College.

The nonprofit organization, founded in 1966, is hosting audition prep workshops for two upcoming youth productions: Newsies and The Lion King Kids. Music director Frankie Curry-Edwards will lead a one-evening workshop to help students choose appropriate audition songs and prepare for callbacks.

Meanwhile, tickets are now on sale for Mean Girls, which runs over three weekends: May 2–4, 9–11, and 16–18, at Highline College in Des Moines. Tickets are available here.

Also returning are the Hi-Liners’ popular summer camps, which provide performing arts education for children and teens. Camps are open to students ages 3 and up and offer a mix of singing, acting, and fun in a supportive setting.
