The DubSea Fish Sticks clinched their first-ever Pacific International League (PIL) championship with a commanding 18–1 victory over the Gumberoos in their final home game of the season, played before a sold-out crowd at Mel Olson Stadium in White Center on Saturday night, Aug. 2, 2025.

The team also celebrated an attendance milestone with 13 sellout games – including wrapping up with six in a row – at its stadium, known affectionately by fans as “The Fryer.”

“Can’t wait to heat up the Fryer again for the 2026 season!” the team said in a social media post, reflecting the excitement and momentum surrounding the franchise as it continues to grow in popularity.

About the Team and League

The DubSea Fish Sticks, originally founded in 2015 as the Highline Bears and rebranded in 2022, compete in the Pacific International League (PIL), a premier summer collegiate baseball league in the Pacific Northwest sanctioned by Major League Baseball and the National Baseball Congress.

The team hosts collegiate baseball players and select former professionals from across the country, offering a stadium-style baseball experience at a community-focused level.

“Thank you for bringing your passion, energy, and excitement to The Fryer all season long,” the team said. “We look forward to seeing everyone right back at the best stadium in the PIL in 2026!”

In addition to its great roster, President/General Manager Justin Moser deserves a lot of credit, as he launched the reimagined franchise and has guided its upward trajectory in community engagement and fan experience.

The team’s head coach for the 2025 season was Elliott Cribby, a former University of Washington Husky and seasoned recruiter whose track record includes developing MLB draft talent across Division I programs.
