Discover Burien will host its annual Members Holiday Party on Wednesday, Dec. 10, inviting members, local business owners and community partners to an evening of networking and small business support at the Elks Lodge in Burien.
The event is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Burien Elks Lodge (map below), according to Discover Burien.
“It’s that time of year again—let’s gather for some festive cheer,” organizers said. “Join your fellow members, local business owners, and the Discover Burien Board for our Annual Members Holiday Party.”
A white elephant gift exchange will be a central feature of the gathering. Attendees are asked to bring one fun/inexpensive wrapped gift per person to take part in the exchange, which is intended to add some levity and surprise to the evening.
Light snacks, refreshments and informal networking will round out the event as Discover Burien toasts what it describes as another year of community and connection for Burien.
Discover Burien is asking attendees to register in advance so organizers can plan for food and drinks. The group notes that registrations can be canceled later if needed when reminder messages go out by email.
According to Discover Burien, the holiday gathering is part of its ongoing effort to support small businesses and strengthen ties among merchants, members and community organizations in and around Burien.
