Community members are being urged to roll up their sleeves Thursday, Feb. 5, when a Blood Drive will be held at Burien City Hall, offering area residents a chance to help meet ongoing blood supply needs.

The drive will be held in the City Hall meeting room from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a closure for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Appointments are required for the best donation experience, and same day appointments may be available at most locations.

Donors can book one hour appointments by scanning the QR code below, or by visiting bloodworksnw.org/giveblood, according to the city.

Photo identification is required to donate.

For safety, the city said no visitors under 16 are allowed at donation sites.

Donors are also asked to eat a hearty meal and drink plenty of fluids before arriving.
