Highline Community Symphonic Band to perform free concert to benefit Burien CARES on Sunday, May 18

The Highline Community Symphonic Band will celebrate pets and their people with a free spring concert titled “ROAR! Purrfect Harmony: A Concert for Pet Lovers!” on Sunday, May 18, at 2 p.m. at the Highline High School Theater.

Led by Director Corinne Smith, the performance is dedicated to animals, animal lovers, and rescue pets.

Attendees can expect a playful and heartfelt program, with donations welcomed to support Burien C.A.R.E.S. Animal Shelter.

Donations are welcome, and a portion of proceeds will be donated to Burien C.A.R.E.S. Animal Shelter on behalf of the band and its patrons.

“Please join us for a ROAR of a show!” organizers said in a statement.

The Highline Community Symphonic Band is a charitable organization supported in part by the City of Burien and King County 4Culture.

Admission is FREE.

The concert will be held in the school theater (NOT the Performing Arts Center) at 225 S. 152nd Street in Burien, with entry near the sports fields behind the high school:
