Burien residents will have a chance to explore the city’s vibrant public art next Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, during MuralWalk Burien, a free guided tour featuring some of the city’s most colorful and creative murals.

The event begins at the Highline Heritage Museum (map below), where artist Victor Melendez will host a talk from 4 to 5:30 p.m. about his newest mural created for the museum.

The guided mural walk will follow from 6 to 7:30 p.m., taking participants through downtown Burien to learn about the stories and creative processes behind the artwork, including the impressive huge mural on DESC’s building.

The event is FREE and open to all ages.

Organizers encourage attendees to come ready to walk and engage with both the art and the artists.

The mural walk is sponsored by 4Culture, the City of Burien, Mural Masters, Highline Heritage Museum, King County, Art Primo, and Shunpike.
