The Environmental Science Center and Sugarcane Yoga are inviting the public to connect with nature and movement at Seahurst Park this summer through a pair of free outdoor yoga sessions.

The Seahurst Park Bioblitz events will be held on Sunday, July 20, and Sunday, Aug. 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. each day.

“Enjoy mindful movement linked to breath with Puget Sound and forest as your view.”

The slow flow classes are open to all levels, including beginners, and will be led by local yoga instructor Meagan Lass.

Participants will enjoy 60 minutes of guided yoga while surrounded by the sights and sounds of the forest and Puget Sound.

The program is open to ages 13 and up. Attendees are asked to arrive a few minutes early to sign a waiver and bring a yoga mat or beach towel, along with any other items needed for outdoor comfort.

Classes are FREE with required registration at https://sugarcaneyoga.com/schedule.

Organizers emphasize that the class promotes mindful movement and breathwork while immersed in nature.
