A FREE new storytelling series called ‘7 STORIES’ will begin at the Highline Heritage Museum on Friday, Feb. 28, then continue every fourth Friday through July 24, 2020.

The mission of 7 STORIES is to build community, understanding, appreciate our rich diversity – and celebrate it, through the telling of our stories.

Real stories are mesmerizing and raw. This is not a theatrical performance, but real life stories from your friends, acquaintances, or someone you have never met.

There are no “other” there is only “we.” Together we’re stronger, happier, and more connected. And who hasn’t been stopped by a powerful or funny story?

There will be 7 stories each night, each 7 minutes maximum in length.

Each 7 STORIES Night will have a theme and storytellers will be chosen in advance (apply easily vi an application on website burienculturehub.org/7stories).

The program will be introduced by the hosts for the evening. who will share a short bio of each storyteller before they tell their story. Refreshments will be served during the intermission. (donations welcome)

“We are encouraging story tellers to speak in whatever language they feel comfortable in, and to bring a translator if needed.”
