A man was stabbed near a bus stop in White Center on Thursday night, Sept. 11, and deputies quickly arrested a suspect who was already wanted on a felony warrant, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded just after 9 p.m. Thursday night to a report of a stabbing near the White Center Mini Mart in the 1500 block of SW Roxbury Street (map below).

When aid units arrived, they found a man with injuries from the attack. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment.

While canvassing the area, a deputy located a group of men and identified one who matched the description of a suspect. The man was taken into custody and was found to have an outstanding felony warrant from the state Department of Corrections for escaped community custody.

Deputies said they also recovered scissors and a box cutter during the arrest.

The case has been turned over to Precinct 4 detectives for further investigation.
