The Burien Meals on Wheels program is looking for dedicated Volunteers to support local seniors by delivering meals and offering a vital lifeline to those who are homebound.

Operated by Sound Generations, the program is seeking alternate delivery drivers to serve on Wednesday mornings.

Volunteers are asked to arrive between 10:30 and 11 a.m., with routes typically taking about 90 minutes to complete.

“This is a vital volunteer role for someone who is ready to step in when needed, ensuring consistency and support to help keep our services running smoothly,” the organization said.

Volunteers play a key role not only in providing nutritious meals, but also in helping to combat social isolation and promote independence among seniors in the community.

Drivers make a difference by offering personal contact and caring service to those who may otherwise be alone.
