The Washington State Patrol (WSP) is asking for the public’s help identifying two vehicles connected to a fatal hit and run that occurred on Sept. 13, 2025 on southbound SR 509 near Meyers Way near White Center.
As we previously reported, the collision happened around 11:40 p.m., and involved two cars and a motorcycle.
Sadly, the motorcycle rider died at the scene, according to WSP.
Troopers determined that a white passenger car was driving erratically before striking the motorcycle and dislodging the rider. A gray vehicle then struck the motorcycle, and the white car fled by exiting to Meyers Way. Investigators recovered vehicle parts at the scene, including a bumper that had been painted white over metallic blue.
Detectives have since identified the first suspect vehicle as a 2016 or 2017 Honda Accord with significant front and rear end damage.
A second vehicle of interest, described as similar to a Dodge or Mercedes Sprinter van with a missing driver side headlight, has also been connected to the investigation and may be the vehicle that initially struck the motorcycle. These newly released photos of the white van were provided on Nov. 13:
A second vehicle of interest has been identified in the investigation of this fatal collision. The vehicle is similar to a Dodge/Mercedes Sprinter and will have a missing driver’s side headlight. This vehicle is more likely the one that struck the motorcycle initially.

WSP is asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about either vehicle to contact Detective Matthew Gagley by email at Matthew.Gagley@wsp.wa.gov.
