Four nights of overnight single- and double-lane closures are planned on northbound and southbound SR 99 starting Monday night, Sept. 22, in SeaTac and Des Moines, the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) announced.

Contractor crews working for WSDOT will close lanes on SR 99 from as early as 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Monday, Sept. 22, until Friday morning, Sept. 26, between South 200th Street in SeaTac and SR 516 in Des Moines.

Intermittent closures also are likely on local streets that intersect with SR 99 along this 2-mile corridor. Signed detours will guide people around road closures.

Crews are nearly finished with this project that has repaved all lanes on this section of SR 99 and upgraded more than 30 sidewalk ramps to modern Americans with Disabilities Act standards.

WSDOT said that work should be complete on this project later this fall.
