The Highline Heritage Museum will host “Polygon Party: A Celebration of Color and Shape,” a new exhibition by artist Rachel Bender, running through January.

A public reception will take place this Friday, Oct. 3, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Highline Heritage Museum (map below).

Presented in partnership with Burien Arts, the exhibition explores the possibilities of abstraction through bold lines, sharp angles and saturated hues.

Organizers describe it as a vibrant reimagining of structure and geometry, inviting viewers to see clarity and contrast as opportunities for joy and imagination.

The show draws inspiration from modernist design, architectural forms and sacred geometry, distilling complexity into simplicity. The work emphasizes that even within strict lines and shapes, there is room for playful interpretation.

The exhibition is supported by Burien Arts, 4Culture, ArtsWA and the Highline Heritage Museum.
