REMINDER: Families are invited to Fire Station 28 in Burien this Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 for King County Fire District No. 2’s annual Kids Day, a free community event focused on safety, fun, and family activities.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Fire Station at 900 SW 146th Street (map below).

Kids and families will be able to:

  • Learn about fire safety
  • Climb aboard a fire engine
  • Watch live demonstrations
  • Play games
  • Win prizes
  • Eat food
  • Have their faces painted

The annual event is designed to build connections between firefighters and the community while giving children hands-on opportunities to explore fire equipment and learn practical safety tips.

“Join us for a day of fun at your local fire station!” organizers said.
