REMINDER: The Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Explore Seattle Southside, will be presenting the 2026 “Southside Business Awards” at the Marriott in SeaTac this Tuesday night, Feb. 24.
This annual celebration – which will run from 5–7 p.m. – honors the outstanding businesses, organizations, and leaders whose work is driving innovation, economic vitality, and community impact across Burien, Des Moines, Normandy Park, SeaTac, and Tukwila.
The evening will bring together business and civic leaders from across the Southside for a night of recognition, connection, and celebration.
The event will include a private VIP Winners’ Reception prior to the main program, followed by a community reception highlighting the excellence of the Southside business community.

- Non-Profit of the Year: International Rescue Committee
- Community Impact of the Year: The Roadhouse
- Emerging Leader of the Year: Rahel Ambachew
- Employer of the Year: Washington Center for Nursing
- Workforce Development Leader of the Year: Eight Twenty Eight
Each awardee was selected through a competitive nomination and review process and reflects the Chamber’s commitment to celebrating leadership, resilience, and meaningful community impact throughout the Southside.
