Boy Scout Troop 392 will hold its annual Christmas Tree Recycling events on Dec. 28 and Jan. 4, giving local residents an eco-friendly way to dispose of their holiday trees while supporting scouting activities.

Tree drop-off will take place at John Knox Presbyterian Church, located at 109 SW Normandy Road (map below), on:

  • Saturday, Dec. 28, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Jan. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Organizers ask that all trees be free of flocking, tinsel, decorations, and nails. Trees will be chipped into mulch, offering an environmentally friendly recycling solution.

The service is donation-based, with checks payable to Troop 392. Proceeds will help fund troop activities, including camps, merit badge programs, and community service projects.

Troop 392’s recycling effort is separate from other local Scout tree recycling services happening in the area, including a recent program hosted by Burien Troop 375.
