Northwest Associated Arts (NWAA) this week announced the second year of its youth programming this fall.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Dr. Tyler Kimmel, TeenSounds is a vibrant, encouraging, diverse ensemble whose focus is to serve and uplift our South King County community through singing!

“Our choir is excited to perform music from many traditions, including classical, pop, Broadway, and folk music from many cultures and in different languages,” organizers said. “We are thrilled to offer an ensemble that features 11-19 year-old singers with a variety of talent. No experience needed to join.”

TeenSounds will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6–7:30 p.m. at John Knox Presbyterian Church in Normandy Park.

It is expected that students who are admitted to the ensemble attend each rehearsal, and especially the rehearsals and dress rehearsals the week of the concert.

Christmas and Spring concerts will be at the Highline Performing Arts Center in Burien.
