A two-car collision blocked northbound SR 509 just south of South 128th Street in Burien on Monday, Feb. 23, causing traffic delays as drivers were directed onto the shoulder, according to the Washington State Patrol (WSP) and the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT).
Troopers said minor injuries were reported to all involved in the crash.
A WSP traffic post on X at about 3:43 p.m. Monday reported troopers on scene of the collision and said traffic was getting by on the shoulder with tow trucks on the way.
An earlier WSDOT traffic post on X at approximately 3:30 p.m. said the collision was blocking all northbound lanes at milepost 27, urging drivers to expect delays.
Drivers traveling through the area were advised to expect delays as crews worked to clear the scene.
No additional details about the cause of the collision or the identities of those involved were immediately released.
