All are invited to tour the Myers Way Wetland on Friday, Feb. 27, at 10 a.m. during a public event hosted by Weed Warriors.
The tour will take place at the wetland near 9701 Myers Way South (map below).
Participants are asked to meet at the gated entrance, where organizers will drive attendees to a private parking area next to the wetland.
The tour begins promptly at 10 a.m.
Madison Parker, a Weed Warriors intern from the University of Washington, will give a presentation on the wetland during the event. Parker is majoring in Environmental Science and is participating in an internship with the organization.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to remove invasive weeds during the visit, if they choose to participate.
Tools and gloves will be provided.
Weed Warriors welcomed Parker and her expertise as part of her internship and encouraged community members to attend the educational tour.
