A youth-centered Juneteenth celebration is coming to the Southside on Friday, June 27, 2025 with an evening of music, art, food and community at the SeaTac Roadhouse.

The free, family-friendly event will run from 6 to 8 p.m., and will feature live performances by young Black artists, live painting, and complimentary food and beverages.

Organizers say the event is meant to highlight Black freedom, joy and creativity — and put youth leadership at the center of the celebration.

“This is a powerful moment for the Southside — rooted in creativity, culture, and youth leadership,” organizers said in a statement.

The celebration honors Juneteenth, the federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, and aims to create a space where young people and families can celebrate in community.
