Seahurst resident John White plans to present a retrofitting plan that would shore up the unstable piers of Eagle Landing Park’s stairs at tonight’s informational seminar, which starts at 7 p.m. at Marlaina’s Restaurant, located at 643 SW 152nd Street (map below).

White told The B-Town Blog that his proposal includes generous donations from American Piledriving Equipment (APE), along with Antaeus Foundation Equipment – with a value of up to $60,000.

Preliminary engineering work has already been done, White added.
White says his piledriving inventions were used to retrofit bridges in California after the 1987 San Francisco earthquake, as well the Alaskan Way Viaduct and other bridges around the world.

Susan Plecko will also speak about Eagle Landing Park’s naming history at this free and open meeting, which starts at 7 p.m.

Marlaina’s is located at 643 SW 152nd Street.
