EDITOR’S NOTE: Cass Huff is a special needs student at Mt. Rainier High School. In 2016, she was named “Citizen of the Year” by the City of Burien. Hey B-Town Readers! I will be having a benefit concert on Jan. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Federal Way Performing Art Center! All of the proceeds from all of the tickets sold will go to helping me get my service dog, Pepper! The concert is called #kiCkASSidy Pepper is a one and a half year-old black lab retriever mix. He is going through his final stages of training right now and hopefully team training with my will be sometime in April! Pepper will help me do so much. He will be able to open and close doors, turn lights on and off, pull me in my wheelchair, help me off the floor when I fall, pick things up off the floor, and carry my school backpack! Since I’m going off to college in the next year and a half, I’m really going to need him in order to be more independent. Pepper alone, costs $10,000, but including  all of his equipment and everything, we need to raise $15,000. At this point, we’ve only raised $4,445.

Pepper is really the only thing I want for Christmas! Anything you can give helps. The GoFundMe link and the ticket link to the #kiCkASSidy Concert are below:
As always, thanks so much for reading! See you next time! Happy Holidays, Cass]]>
