From our friends at Burien Actors Theatre: So, it is mid-January. That means you have likely already given up on the going to the gym every day. (I know, you’re going tomorrow. No really, tomorrow.) Why not make a new resolution, one you can keep? Join one of BAT’s script clubs. They meet once a month and talk about very interesting scripts. (There is no acting or public reading to do.) Think of it as a book club, but with scripts. Both of the BAT script clubs are led by high school drama teachers, one leader is retired, and the other leader still is teaching. BAT’s daytime script club meets on the third Thursday of the month at Merrill Gardens, 15020 5th Ave SW, Burien from 1:30 to 2:30 pm. BAT’s evening script club meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Burien Library, 400 SW 152nd St, Burien from 7 to 8 pm. The script clubs are free to attend, and BAT promises not to ask you for a donation while there. Come and become part of BAT’s family, and share your thoughts about the scripts you read. Often the script discussed is for the play BAT will be producing next, like Visiting Cezanne, GET TICKETS  HERE. But the script club also reads and discusses other very interesting scripts. Most plays discussed are modern and award-winning. To find out how to locate a script, or for more information on BAT’s script clubs, CLICK HERE, or email BAT at info@burienactorstheatre.org.

Happy New year from BAT!
