Discover Burien’s Makerspace will be hosting a booth at the Burien Farmer’s Market throughout the Summer (from May–October), and they are looking for Volunteers to help them run their booth.

There are two volunteer time shifts to choose from:

  • 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
  • 2 – 6 p.m.

Volunteers will be asked to provide information about the Makerspace, hand out fliers, and sell Makerspace products (as needed).

Volunteers are also able to use a portion of the booth to display and sell their own products.

To lend a hand, please email discovermakers@gmail.com.

NEW! Design Stations and Upcoming Classes

Thanks to a generous donation of PCs from from the City of Burien the Makerspace has some new design stations. These computers are loaded up with a variety of maker software including: Inkscape, Fusion 360, V-carve Pro, Audacity, Prusa slicer and more!

These machines are open to Makerspace members and they will also be launching classes dedicated to design using these applications.

Look out for classes in Fusion 360, inkscape, and more in June and July!
