A person was fatally shot early Saturday morning, May 4, 2024 near the intersection of S. 116th Street and 1st Ave South near the Beverly Park neighborhood of Burien (map below).

King County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene at around 1 a.m. and located a victim with a gunshot wound.

Deputies provided first aid until medics arrived. 

But tragically, despite life-saving measures, the victim succumbed to their injuries and died at the scene.

1st Ave South between S. 116th and S. 119th Streets was closed for several hours.

Major Crimes Detectives are investigating the incident. 

Police said that there are no further details at this time as the case is still under investigation.

  1. He didn’t deserve this!!! He just was trying to keep a float like everyone else and who ever done this shame on you and I believe in karma and I hope you get your soon!! You took a young man’s life who was struggling. You are a cowered.. I hope they find u and lock you up for good..

  2. Who ever did this took my brothers life. He had a family. We miss him dearly. If anyone knows anything, please come forward.

  3. He’s been a friend for years. He saved my niece from killing herself. He came over every Xmas because I always had a present under the tree for him. He will be missed . So sad that this happened because if you really knew him he was truly a good guy, unless you messed with his family or peeps and even then he had a heart. Luv ya guy!! For the person or persons responsible for this u hope this haunts you for the rest of your life you coward!
