UPDATE Feb. 12, 2021 1:45 p.m.: Discover Burien’s trailer – which was stolen Friday morning around 4 a.m. – has been found near Beverly Park Elementary School, fully intact.

PREVIOUSLY:

At 4 a.m. Friday morning, Feb. 12, 2021, a trailer belonging to Discover Burien was stolen from a parking lot on SW 150th Street near Ambaum Blvd. SW.

This is a 2014 Wells Utility Trailer valued at $4,000, with license plate #78944AD. It contained a small stage used by the local non-profit business organization.

The trailer had a lock on it, but at least two thieves apparently cut the lock, hooked it up and towed it away with a flatbed truck.

Executive Director Debra George told The B-Town Blog that the thieves first came by at 3 a.m. to case the scene, then returned at 4 a.m. to steal it.

“We stored the trailer at that location because we have very good cameras there and it has more eyes on it at that location over the location behind Discover Burien,” George said. “We believe the truck is a late model Toyota flat bed.”

“Please keep an eye out for this trailer or the truck that took it,” George added. “Call 9-1-1 or CARES if you know the location.”

Burien CARES phone number is (206) 812-2737.

The theft took place in a parking lot near Burien CARES, located at 909 SW 151st Street:
