The City of Burien is reminding residents that its annual, amazing Arts-A-Glow festival will return to Downtown B-Town this Saturday night, Sept. 6, 2025, from 7 to 10:30 p.m.

Now in its 18th year, the free community arts festival will feature projection mapping on buildings, illuminated art installations, roving performers, and hands-on activities designed for all ages.

The event is organized by Burien Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services (PaRCS) staff in collaboration with local artists.

“The Glow is a free community arts festival hosted by the City of Burien and developed and implemented by Burien city staff and community artists,” the city said in its event announcement.

Festivalgoers are invited to explore light installations, browse a night market, visit the museum, discover art inside local businesses, and enjoy dining at restaurants throughout downtown Burien.

Attendees are also encouraged to wear costumes and bring lanterns to add to the glowing atmosphere.

Tips for making lanterns from items like jars, balloons, and pie tins are available on the city’s website.

Details on this year’s participating artists will be posted online as applications are finalized. Updates are being shared through the City of Burien’s Instagram and Facebook accounts.
