Residents are invited to take the stage and share their true-life experiences at the upcoming ‘7 Stories’ community storytelling event on Friday night, Oct. 24 at the Highline Heritage Museum.
The theme for this event will be “The One That Got Away.”
Organizers said the program is designed to build community, foster empathy, and celebrate the diversity of south King County’s people through the power of personal storytelling.
Each event has a theme, and storytellers sign up in advance to share real, unscripted experiences.
‘7 Stories’ is not a theatrical performance but an evening of authentic stories told by neighbors, friends, and community members. Participants can sign up online to be considered, and coaching is available for those who want support in preparing their story.

NOTE: If you can’t make it to this event in person, be sure to “Like” us on Facebook here to get a notification, as The B-Town Blog hopes to be streaming it live starting at 7 p.m.
Storytellers Needed
Please consider sharing your true story…in the spirit of community and friendship.
Organizers will coach/help you as much as you would like.
To sign up, please fill out the form online or send an email to 7stories@burienculturehub.org.
Event staff offer coaching and can help coordinate bilingual two-person storytelling.
Parents are advised to use discretion, as not all stories may be appropriate for young listeners.
7 Stories is part of a community effort to promote connection through personal narratives, and organizers say they are always looking for new storytellers willing to share their experiences.
