Burien Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing woman who was last seen at her apartment near the Des Moines Memorial Drive exit off SR 518, authorities said.
Ruth Jones was reported missing after a family member went to check on her apartment at Munro Manor (map below) and found the door open and Jones gone.
Police have issued a missing persons report under case number C25038478.
Family members say Jones has mental health issues and ask that she not be approached if seen.
They said she is not considered dangerous but may become frightened and run if strangers attempt to interact with her.
Anyone who sees Jones is asked to call 911 immediately and reference the case number.
Jones is described as being on the shorter side, approximately 5 feet 2 inches to 5 feet 4 inches tall, with a noticeable number of tattoos on her arms and legs.
Family members believe she may be walking without shoes.
Because Jones lives near SR 518 and Des Moines Memorial Drive, relatives believe she may still be in the surrounding area unless she was picked up by someone, they said.
