Transform Burien will offer weekly meals, food bank services, clothing bank access and several community support events throughout May, according to a flyer from the Burien nonprofit.  

Weekly services include a hot meal, food bank and clothing bank from 3 to 5 p.m. Sundays and Noon to 2 p.m. Wednesdays. A hot meal also will be offered from Noon to 2 p.m. Fridays.

The May schedule includes a community food drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 2 at Fred Meyer in Burien, hosted by VFW Post #4314. Donations will support Transform Burien’s food pantry and community members in need.

Additional events include the Cowlitz Indian Tribe Wellness Van from Noon to 2 p.m. May 6, offering confidential care, including medication assisted treatment and counseling. Community Health with Patrick also will be available from Noon to 2 p.m. May 6 to assist with Washington state health insurance questions.

Free haircuts with Emmie will be offered from Noon to 2 p.m. May 8. Transform Burien will mark Mother’s Day with a hot meal from 3 to 5 p.m. May 10.

King County Library System resource assistance will be available from Noon to 2 p.m. May 22. Free haircuts with James and Kim will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m. May 31.

Transform Burien is located at 15623 Des Moines Memorial Drive S. in Burien. The flyer says the site is served by the F Line and Route 161 on 156th Street.
