Come hear ChoralSounds and TeenSounds weave together a choral program that delves into the rich tapestry of Americana folk traditions at 4 p.m. this Saturday, May 16 at the Highline Performing Arts Center.

This music offers a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the diverse heritage and influences that give shape to our choral traditions.

A friendly, cohesive group of dedicated adult musicians who are drawn together by their love of singing, ChoralSounds Northwest is a Burien-based mixed community chorus under the baton of Artistic Director Dr. Ryan Ellis.

Combining traditional choral music with the fun of other modern styles, ChoralSounds offers a musical home to Burien-area singers who want to experience the challenge, musicianship, and camaraderie of performing with a professional group.

Under the direction of Director Dr. Tyler Todd Kimmel, TeenSounds is a vibrant, encouraging, diverse ensemble whose focus is to serve and uplift our South King County community through singing! The choir is excited to perform music from many traditions, including classical, pop, broadway, and folk music from many cultures and languages.

“We are thrilled to offer an ensemble that features 11-19 year-old singers with a variety of talent,” organizers said.
