The Burien Creative District is seeking artists to participate in a new annual multi-disciplinary arts festival called ArtLab Burien, coming this August.
In addition to display and vending, organizers are encouraging artists to invite the community into their process by providing an immersive and/or interactive experience.
“This can be a live demonstration, a presentation of your creative process, or inviting the public to participate in a creative process,” organizers said.
Who Is Eligible:
- Artists: Painters, Sculptors, Photographers, Potters, Crafters, Designers, Jewelry Makers, Quilters, Printmakers, etc – creatives from all spheres and spaces.
- Arts, cultural and heritage organizations.
- Businesses within the Creative Economy.
All artistic works or other products sold at the festival must be produced locally.

ArtLab Burien will take place on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on SW 153rd Street between Ambaum Blvd SW and 6th Ave SW (map below).
“We welcome you to participate in the First Annual ArtLab Burien,” organizers said.
To apply for a booth at the festival, fill out this form. If you have a proposal for a performance or other type of installation or experience, send them an email.
The deadline for response to ensure inclusion in the festival is July 31.
