More than 50 seniors at Puget Sound Skills Center in Burien are graduating with job offers from The Boeing Company, marking the start of careers in aerospace and skilled trades, according to Highline Public Schools.
The students were recognized during Boeing Signing Day, a celebration honoring graduates who have secured employment with Boeing as they complete their studies.
The school district said students developed career-ready skills through hands-on programs in aerospace, construction, automotive technology and auto body technology, helping open pathways to employment after graduation.
“Boeing Signing Day was a powerful reminder that all the hard work, leadership, and dedication I’ve put into my education is opening doors to real opportunities,” Puget Sound Skills Center graduate Aisha Ahmed said.
“As a Puget Sound Skills Center student, I’m grateful to be taking the next step toward a career in aerospace and excited to continue learning and growing with Boeing,” Ahmed added.
The district said the Boeing Signing Day celebration highlighted the connection between career and technical education programs and workforce opportunities, with graduates preparing to begin careers as future airplane builders.
