Families with young children can explore the marine life of Puget Sound this summer through the FREE “Tide Pools for Tots” program at Seahurst Park in Burien.
The Environmental Science Center (ESC) announced four upcoming summer sessions designed for children ages 2 to 5 and their caregivers.
The program combines storytelling, movement and guided exploration of the beach and tide pools while introducing participants to local marine animals and simple ways to help protect marine life.
“Hear a little story, do a little dance, and learn little ways to make a big difference for marine life before gently exploring the beach and some tide pools with your little ones,” ESC said.
Family members and friends are also welcome to attend.
The program is intended to help toddlers and their caregivers connect with the region’s shared watershed while building environmental stewardship, social emotional learning and motor skills.
